HitnMis Legal
Code of Conduct
Effective date: March 1, 2026
1. Our Core Expectations
Every HitnMis member is expected to:
- Treat all players, coaches, organizers, and staff with respect
- Compete with honesty and integrity
- Accept wins and losses gracefully
- Follow the rules of any event, game, or tournament they participate in
- Report violations to staff rather than retaliating
2. Harassment and Discrimination
Harassment in any form is not tolerated on HitnMis. This includes but is not limited to:
- Verbal abuse, threats, or intimidation — in chat, voice, or DMs
- Hate speech or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other characteristic
- Sustained unwanted contact or stalking
- Sexual harassment, including unsolicited explicit content or comments
- Doxxing — sharing private or identifying information about someone without consent
- Targeted harassment campaigns, brigading, or coordinated attacks on any individual
A single severe incident can result in an immediate permanent ban. Repeated lesser violations will escalate through our disciplinary process.
3. Fair Play
Competitive integrity is essential. The following are prohibited in all HitnMis-affiliated events:
- Cheating, hacking, or exploiting unintended game bugs for competitive advantage
- Account sharing or playing under a false identity in ranked events
- Match fixing or colluding with opponents to manipulate results
- Sandbagging — intentionally performing below your skill level to gain placement advantage
- Disconnecting intentionally to avoid a loss ("rage quitting" in official matches)
- Using unauthorized tools, overlays, or software during official competition
4. Content Standards
All content you post on HitnMis — profile bios, links, event descriptions, coaching listings — must:
- Be accurate and not deceptive or misleading
- Not contain explicit sexual content or graphic violence
- Not promote illegal activity, gambling, or piracy
- Not include spam, phishing links, or malware
- Not impersonate another person, brand, or organization
Profile pictures and usernames are held to the same standard. Names designed to mock, impersonate, or provoke other users will be removed.
5. Discord Community Standards
When participating in our Discord server:
- Use channels for their intended purpose
- Do not spam, flood, or post repetitive messages
- Do not self-promote or advertise without permission in designated channels
- Do not ping staff or roles unnecessarily
- Follow all Discord Terms of Service in addition to this Code
6. Coaching Conduct
Coaches and players using HitnMis coaching services are held to this Code in full. Additional expectations for coaching relationships:
- Coaches must be honest about their skill level, credentials, and session content
- Coaches may not solicit personal information beyond what is needed for scheduling
- Players and coaches must treat each other professionally throughout all interactions
- Session recordings may only be shared with the explicit consent of all participants
See our Coaching Terms for full details on coaching-specific rules.
7. Event Conduct
At any HitnMis-organized event (online or in-person):
- Follow all instructions from tournament organizers and staff
- Be present and ready at your scheduled match time
- Disputes must be raised with a TO, not handled player-to-player
- Physical altercations at in-person events will result in immediate removal and a permanent ban
8. Reporting Violations
If you witness or experience a violation of this Code, report it to HitnMis staff. You can:
- Open a ticket in #support on our Discord server
- DM a staff member with evidence (screenshots, clip links, timestamps)
- Use the report functionality on a user's public profile page
Reports are handled confidentially. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who makes a good-faith report.
9. Enforcement and Consequences
Violations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Consequences may include:
- Warning: A formal notice for minor or first-time violations
- Temporary suspension: Restricted access to some or all platform features
- Event disqualification: Removal from an active tournament or event
- Permanent ban: Irrevocable removal from HitnMis for severe or repeated violations
We aim to be fair and consistent. Decisions made by HitnMis staff regarding Code of Conduct enforcement are final. If you believe an action against you was made in error, you may appeal by opening a ticket in our Discord within 7 days.
10. Updates to This Code
We may update this Code of Conduct as the community grows. Changes will be announced in our Discord. Continued use of HitnMis constitutes acceptance of the current Code.
